Throw them in a hot frying pan, like you would for a hot ham sandwich. It doesn't take long (you aren't cooking it, you are just heating it up), so just fry it for a minute, maybe two. Pepperoni should have enough fat that you don't need to add oil or anything.

if you're using pre-sliced pepperoni, you can cut the pepperoni into strips. Just addd to the hot pasta. the heat from the pasta will warm the pepperoni.

You can also fry the pepperoni and it will crisp up like bacon.

Edit... strips or half is fine. Whatever looks the most pleasing or the least amount of work. I would slice it into strips to be close to the size of the pasta, but some people like larger cuts to they have a differences in size between the pasta and the pepperoni.

you can put it in whatever sauce you will be using with the pasta.. or you can toss it with the hot pasta right after you drain it. Pepporoni is thoroughly cooked, so all it needs is to be warmed through and they are pretty thin so this shouldn't take that long.. especially if you chop them..
not a stupid question..

fry in skillet or bake in oven.
drain on paper towels.
