I do know if you boil eggs that are too fresh it's almost impossible to peel them! I learned this the hard way trying to help someone prepare deviled eggs for an event.

Looked a little further with your additional info provided. I'm thinking you might want the freshest eggs possible for this as there would be less air inside the shell. That would help eliminate weak spots after the eggs are boiled I'm thinking.

I'm with ya! It's not cheating it's the power of knowledge. Good Luck!

I think we are thinking about this the wrong way!!! Wondered if you can make the shell SOFTER so it wont breaks. This talks about raw eggs, but I wonder if you could boil them and THEN soak them.

  • why wouldn't you want them to crack?

If you use eggs from a farm instead of from the store, their shells should be a bit harder.

bring a pot of water with the eggs to a full boil.
    then turn off the heat.
and let the eggs sit in the water for thirty.

or u could try clear nail pollish idk never tryed to make them harder to crack

I'm sure there's nothing in the cooking method that could make them harder....Farmers fresh organic eggs would crack the easiest because of the lack of chemicals in the feed.
I guess buying the cheapest low grade eggs would be the way to go. A big factory that puts the right chemicals in its feed to keep the eggs from breaking during shipping.
