Fried egg good friday?!

Question: can i eat fried eggs on good friday

Answers: can i eat fried eggs on good friday

Eggs are not considered meat - at least not that I've ever heard of in my 48 years of being Catholic. Meat includes beef, pork, chicken, & liver but as far as I know, eggs are not taboo on Good Friday.

Happy Easter!

If your not religious you can eat anything you want. If you observe the day due to religion I would think you would already know the answer to that question.

Yes, it is meat that is usually not to be eaten on Good Friday.

You are under no obligation to restrain yourself from fish cheese, or eggs on the Fridays of Lent. Vatican law states that you aren't to eat the flesh of a warm blooded animal; but you are welcome to eat indirect meats such as dairy products, eggs, and fats, as well as meat of a cold-blooded animal, like fish and reptiles. We give up these certain foods to give thanks to Jesus for the amazing gift that he has given to us. If you feel like you want to give up more, you are welcome to do so. You can follow the minimal of Vatican law, or you can add or own sacrifices to give thanks to Christ in your own special way. Analyze your heart, and decide what's best for YOUR beliefs.

Vatican law states that on Ash Wednesday and good Friday, we are to both abstain from meat as well as fast - eat very little food on that day. On each Friday of Lent inbetween those dates, we are advised to abstain from meat, but are not obligated to fast.
