I am making meatballs and have no eggs....?!

Question: what can I substitute for the eggs?

Answers: what can I substitute for the eggs?

I made meatballs the other night with no eggs and they turned out perfectly fine. I just use a splash of milk to soften the breadcrumbs I used. They were fantastic! I don't think the egg is necessary at all.

You don't need eggs, I do like to add breadcrumbs or oatmeal as well as some seasonings. If you want to add something with a similar consistancy to eggs, try adding some ketchup.

applesauce...

Substitute with boiled mashed potatoes or bread slices or little cornflour or breadcrumps.Incase you dont want to add breadcrumps in the meatballs just roll all over and then fry.

hope this helps happy cooking

I use ground beef, milk (about 1\2 cup) Italian bread crumbs., a little parm cheese. they come out moist and tasty.
