Does any one have a recipe for garlic vinaigrette?!


Question: my mother in laws famous recipe....

1 cup white vinager
3/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
6 Real Garlic Cloves, chopped or minced REAL good
1 TBS mustard
1 TBS honey
1 TSP basil
1 TSP oregano
3 TBS Parmesian Cheese
Squeeze 1/2 a Lime
Salt & Pepper to taste

If you need more dressing, just double the recipe!

These are all the ingredients that she uses... she actually has never measured anything, because she just knows what to add, but I have watched her, and I think this is "more or less" what she does... so u can add more of one thing and less of the other if you want.... but it tastes GREAT!!!!

Garlic and Basil Vinaigrette

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped fresh garlic
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2/3 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

DIRECTIONS
Combine the basil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, and Parmesan cheese in a blender. Blend until ingredients form a paste. Slowly pour olive oil into the mixture and continue to blend until smooth.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Whisk before serving.

Balsamic Garlic Vinaigrette

INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
3/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 clove garlic, crushed or to taste
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 pinch salt
1 pinch freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS
Combine the olive oil, vinegar, garlic, oregano, mustard, salt and pepper in a jar with a tight fitting lid. Shake well before serving. Store in the refrigerator.

Here's my take on it...

3 cloves of crushed fresh garlic or roasted garlic
1/2 C. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 C. of flavored vinegar (Apple cider, Balsamic, Red Wine, Fig)
Salt & Pepper to taste
(Optional) 1 tsp. of Lemon or Orange Zest

Place all of the ingredients in a salad dressing shaker or a clean glass jar with a lid if you don't have a shaker. Shake well & serve.
