How long do you cook small portion salmon in the oven for?!

Question: These are 2 small frozen 3 by 4.5 fillets. It says stick in shallow pan covered for 20 minutes. I put foil over it as I dont have a lid. Is that okay? Ive never cooked fish before and I want to make sure I do it right.

Follow the directions on the package--I cook them from frozen for about 20 minutes at 450 degrees. Foil is fine if you don't have a lid. Sprinkle with pepper and a squirt of lemon juice when they're done.

Aim for the 20 minutes but check them after 15 minutes. When they are a pale light pink color, the are cooked.

You can cover them with foil if you like. It'll help them become tender.

If that's what the directions say, then go for it:) I always cook my salmon on the BBQ (no fish smell in the house then), over mesquite chips. Lightly rub with olive oil and sprinkle with some salt and dried dillweed. About 5-8 min on each side.....

This is for one pound. I'm not sure about your small pieces. It might be best to put them in foil pockets. We do this often. Just close the foil around the fish.

Here is a good recipe for one pound of salmon.

BAKED SALMON FILLET

1 lb. salmon fillet
1 sm. onion, diced
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Place salmon on aluminum foil. Spread onion on top and sprinkle with lemon juice. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 25 minutes.

I love salmon. if its frozen, may take it bout 15-20 minutes to bake...Bake it at 425 degrees. you can cover it. that works fine
i make tilapia allll the time...bake the fillets for bout 12 minutes...or til it flakes.

Enjoy!!!
