Is it possible to melt regular chocolate in the microwave?!
Answers: without ruining it? im not using cooking chocolate because its disgusting. im using cadburys.
yes you can but be very careful as it burns easily, the best thing to do is put the microwave on defrost and put it on bit by bit, burns real quick
yes dont leave it in to long when it starts melting take it out and stir it otherwise it will burn
yes it is great for fondue
yep i do it all the time just make sure you dont put it in for too long x
One way to melt it (which does work) is to place it in a bowl above a pot of boiling water.
Put the broken chocolate pieces in a microwave safe bowl and heat it for 30 seconds at a time, stirring everytime. The chocolate should be melted in a minute or two depending on how much chocolate there is. Just be sure to keep and eye on it..it should not bubble.
Good luck!
Use a lower power setting on your microwave and keep an eye on it till it melts.
Yes, just go like 10-15 second intervals stirring each time. You can add a small amount of vegetable oil to keep it smooth and glossy.....
Baking chocolate is not disgusting, it's good. Maybe you've only tasted the semi-sweet, it's not great. Just put your chocolate in a little glass dish and nuke it 20 seconds at a time. Stir each time because it will hold its shape but be quite melted in the middle.
yes, just don't burn it
yes, I do it all the time--melted chocolate with some peanut butter for dessert is soo good!!
I don't recommend using a glass bowl (like pyrex) to heat it up because for some reason it makes the chocolate heat unevenly and burn like in 5 seconds.
I recommend a regular ceramic serving bowl to heat it up.
First, break up the bar into half or inch chunks and put it into the bowl. Heat it in the microwave on normal power (10% right?). Stir it every 15 seconds until it is melted.
I know you intend to try - if, indeed, you haven't already. So Tell us about it when the result is known.
You must have an Easter-oriented mold.
Yes but go slowly or you will burn it............try doing it with mars bars.great topping for desserts and ice cream..
