Can I use frozen fish to make ceviche?!

Question: Do I have to use sushi-grade or fresh fish to make ceviche, or can I use thawed out frozen fish? I have heard of using frozen shrimp for ceviche, but I plan on making a white fish ceviche.

I wouldn't think it would matter as long as you marinated with lemon .

Frozen shrimp that has been thawed would be fine...make sure it's thawed though. None of the fish should be raw though. You can use cooked, frozen and then thawed fish. Ceviche is made with cooked cold shrimp.

I would use sushi-grade fish to make ceviche.

It I were you I would use a high grade fresh fish, for the best flavor.

does anyone one watch top chef beacuse if you did then you would know that all the ingreadients need to be fresh NOT frozen
