What is the difference between waffle batter and belgian waffle batter?!

Basically, Belgian has yeast in it, american waffles do not. Here is everything you might want to know about all kinds of waffles:

It's the size of the waffle. A belgian waffle is thicker than a regular waffle so in order for you to have a belgian waffle; you need to buy a belgian waffle maker.

In the recipes I have the Belgian waffles the eggs are separated and the whites are whipped to stiff peaks and folded into the rest of the batter.
