I'm Baking right now - situation... help =)?!


Question: Hey! i'm baking a sponge cake... the crust is getting brown and int he middle its all still a liquid...
Heat was 150 degree C ...
what should be the heat now?

reduce the temperature n keep baking.... keep ot for another 5-10 mins n check
you could also change the setting to broil..

Cakes always bake from the outside into the middle, so that is normal. If you are concerned about the edges overbrowning, cover the edges with strips of aluminium foil.

well, i guess that you opened the upper one and you were not suppose to do that, but now you can bake it on 100, and on the lower one
i wish that will help

Whew! glad it worked out! Otherwise, you'd have to be passing out straws w/each fork!!!! :)
