Can't find Poultry seasoning, should I rush to the store. ???!

Question: Go figure it's no where to be found. Should I go down the road to the store and get some. Or just use the Sage only for the stuffing.

Absolutely that will be fine. It will come out Fantastically Fantastic. Don't mention it to anyone, no one will ever know. Its what i use any way poultry season is mostly sage anyway.

here's two different recipes for you.

Poultry Seasoning

1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 tablespoon dried sage
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon dried marjoram
1 tablespoon celery seed
1 teaspoon whole peppercorns or 3/4 teaspoon ground pepper

1. Ground ingredients together in a spice grinder, mini-food processor or a mortar and pestle.

Makes about 1/3 cup.

INGREDIENTS:

* 3/4 teaspoon sage, crumbled
* 1/4 teaspoon leaf thyme, crumbled
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper
* dash marjoram
* dash cloves, optional

PREPARATION:
Combine all ingredients. If you make extra, store in an airtight container.
Use for poultry stuffing or dressing, as a rub for chicken, or as seasoning for other dishes.

Well i always use a product called vegeta i dont know if you have it in the states but its basically a vegetable stock , seasoning , i use it in everything and it does chicken a great justice , its even nice in scrambled eggs ect .

I agree with Big Will, this has happened to me before. I just used sage and it was not noticed by anyone. Don't worry about it.
