Why do people post recipes without the title or the website?!

Question: A lot of times I can tell that someone just cut and pasted a recipe, but they don't give the name for it or where they found it. If they gave me the name and the source, I could print it out more easily so I could make it. I don't mind "untitled" recipes if it's a homemade recipe. But it bothers me when it's obviously from a website and they don't list the source.

Does this bother you also or is it just me!?!

When I list my recipes, they are mine. If I do a cut and paste, I will put the website down or suggest a website if there are more than one type of recipe requested.

I guess some people can't be bothered. Just like some can't seem to write in English, but use strange words in their requests. Or don't know how to write in a sentence, or use spell check.

Oh well, those are a few things that bother me.

My biggest pet peeve is the some of the offensive language some people have a tendency to use. Just horrible!!!!

It bothers me a lot. This is especially true when the question directly asks for 'home' recipes, or personal ones. What's the big deal? Get out the dang old recipe or don't answer the question. You want 'best answer' so bad, earn it. I don't give a diddly about web recipes anyway. Heck, I can get those without coming here. If it is a question that requires the web, okay, but post your sources.

I hate even worse than that they 'I am a former chef' responses. It seems to mean, 'and therefore, of course, you will do what I say'. Hate that.

I have noticed that too.

Seems a lot of the top contributor's on cooking are just really good at copying and pasting.

The only time I do that is if I know the recipe and know it is good. I always go back and add in my own little tid bits and name of the recipe.

it bugs me too
but as long as i get the dang recipe i dont care where its from

RIGHT-ON DOTTIE
HEY WHAT REALLY GIVES ME THE JEE-BEE'S IS THAT THEY ALSO SAY IT'S SOMETHING FROM MY BOXX !!
at least take some time to edit and not list exactly as posted,
i'd love to see their homework assignments ( if you get my drift !
what an eye GOOD ONE !!!

Yeah I feel you on that one if your going to tell somebody about a good recipe you can just can give the url where ever you got it from. But it seems like they don't want to tell you where you got it from
