Does anyone know where I might find a some easy to make low sodium recipes?!

Question: I have tried many bookstores for a cookbook with low sodium recipes, but all I can find are cookbooks with complicated recipes with several ingredients that would take me forever to make.
I am handicapped and just don't have the energy to go and buy all the ingrediants, let alone make the recipe.
Any help would be appreciated.

Find a copy of the book, Cooking without a Grain of Salt by Elma Bagg. It might be in a used book store, too.

It's in paperback also.

Years ago I read it and followed her suggestions for foods and vegetables that are naturally salty and what kind of foods to avoid. You just prepare and season your food differently. I found this the best book and most practical for real people. Easy to read.

We managed to successfully reduce the salt in our diet and my husband was able to stop taking his medication because his blood pressure was controlled by the diet..

I have a bad sodium intolerance...
so I just cook without salt.. I don't use any processed foods like deli meats, hot dogs, or precooked frozen meats..
I rinse all my canned goods..
but I just put the salt shaker on the table, so my family can salt what they want..
i just throw in more spices pepper, curry, Italian, garlic powder, onion powder and use lemon juice, vinegars, olive oils.. etc to flavor up my foods...
Salt is actually an acquired taste.. once you start getting use to not using it and actually tasting the flavors of the ingredients in the foods you cook. and then have something with salt in it, you\ll know.. and you will enjoy the food better without salt.. sometimes stuff is so highly salted, all you taste is the sodium and not the subtleties of the individual ingredients in the recipes..

I use this low sodium sauce on things I want salt on- like chicken, potatoes, steak, seafood, eggs-- so you don't use salt at all

INGREDIENTS
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon minced onion
2 tablespoons lemon juice (optional)
pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, and minced onion. Stir in lemon juice. Season to taste with pepper. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
