Peach Crumble
(makes 4 servings)
4 medium ripe peaches, about 1 pound (480 g) total
juice of 1 lime
1 tablespoon (12 g) granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) ground nutmeg
Crumble Topping
2 tablespoons (18 g) unbleached all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons (24 g) stone-ground cornmeal
2 tablespoons (10 g) rolled oats
1 tablespoon (13 g) light brown sugar
grated zest of 1 lime
1 tablespoon (13 g) cold reduced-fat stick margarine, cut into bits
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C), Gas Mark 5.
2. Peel peaches, removing the seed and cut into slices. Add lime juice, sugar, and nutmeg. Toss lightly to combine. Transfer mixture to a shallow baking dish.
3. To make topping: In a small bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, oats, brown sugar, and lime zest. Sprinkle mixture over the peaches and dot with margarine.
4. Bake until topping is nicely browned and fruit juices have begun to bubble, about 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.

no they are fine straight out the tin......peace@love=0)
it should be fine
ive made apple crumble several times and dont cook my apples first
so the canned peaches should be fine*
at 350F
for about 20-25min
Dont leave the juice in
dont forget bout the crumble
have you made an apple crumble before..follow same directions but instead use the drained canned peaches
You won't need to cook them unless you want them really soft. Drain them and cut them up into chunky pieces. You could reduce the juice a little in a pan with some additional spices to pour over but don't use all the juice from the can as it will be soggy!.
They are fine just put your crumble topping on there no cause for them to be cooked just put a little bit of juice inside the crumble dish. and cook the crumble topping for about 35-40 minutes on 200f electric.
Don't need cooking beforehand....by the way can I come round for some. I like plenty of custard, thanks.
Peach crumble is good, I made one today, the peaches are fine straight from the tin, you will need a small amount of juice say half way up the peach layer - then top with crumble. The peaches are really sweet so you may want to reduce the sugar content of the crumble.
All tinned food is pre cooked - open and warm if required.
Straight out of the tin!
