For toccos do you use water when heating the beef?!

Question: you ask god

Answers: you ask god

Just brown the ground beef and drain well...

they are spelled tacos

idiot

no but if its lean beef a little olive oil helps stop it from sticking

No, but after I brown the beef for ANY dish, I quickly rinse it in a strainer with hot water to remove the grease...Some are saying, "EWWWWWW!" But I have been cooking many years, and it will taste FINE after the spices, etc are added, and not nearly as much fat in the recipe.

There will most likely be enough grease in the meat that nothing will need to be added when you brown it. Cook on medium, slowly, with a lid....secret to keeping it moist, open occasionally and stir/turn over, til done, then rinse and finish your meal...YUM!

no, the natural juices will deliver into the pan

I never use ground beef in tacos but if thats all you have then go with the American style Texican... much, much better is grilled thinly sliced meat (carne asada) or even the shredded beef which is stewed in WATER with onions and red peppers OR like the Chile Verde which is Pork stewed with green chilies and onions...

There are a lot of ways to make tacos. (as some Americans don't seem to know) Try to find your favorites by sampling different kinds when you go to a real Mexican joint (must be Mexicans eating there not just cooking gringo food!)

brown your beef in fry pan..drain excess fat /oil from meat when browned.
put back into frypan
add taco seasoning pkg..
add 1 cup water..mix seasoning to cover meat
simmer for about 10min
heat shells in oven on warm for 5min
grate cheese, dice up some tomatoes, lettuce, ...
you can also pour a lil salsa ontop

yes its good to put lots of water in toccos
but i like a little lard for my tacos -fried beef w/onions-chopped....
