Whats the secret to making the best scrambled eggs?!
Answers: What do you do to make your scrambled eggs perfect? Do you add anything to them?
Yes. I add about 1 tablespoon half and half for every two eggs. Makes them smooth and creamy. I also keep stirring the eggs and don't let them get brown on one side.
You can also add some shredded cheese, like muenster or cheddar - also makes them creamy. Good luck!
I add a little bit of milk to them.
get a egg and scramble it. then stab it then scramble it some more then eat it yum yum yum. dont worry it b k.
Well i just am constantly flipping them around..if you let them sit they dry up and get dry and nasty..i usually cook with margarine..i add tomatoes, onions, and some type of meat (turkey or ham)..i take them out of the pan when they are a bit moist but not dry..i pop them onto a plate add a bit of salt..and i'm done..i recently stopped eating eggs because they are making me sick..btw
Don't cook them for too long. If there is water in the pan it means they are over done. When you pour the egg in, leave it for a bit before you stir, then keep stirring, and when the eggs start to scramble, remove from the heat. I usually find that two eggs, a splash of milk and salt is the best recipe. Also, the bread you serve them on makes a difference, I prefer to use thick white bread.
Yes! Milk will make your eggs nice and fluffy.I like sauteed sliced zucchini or green peppers in mine.
When I cook eggs I put them in the pan with just a tablespoon of milk, salt, pepper, then I cook them until they are almost completely done. then I put in a few slices of cheese and finish cooking. My kids will not eat anyboies egss but mine.
Eggs are loaded with unneeded cholesterol so the best thing to do is make scrambled tofu! Just make certain to add enough spices because tofu is bland without spices but really yummy with basil, italian seasoning onions, garlic, spinach, tamari or shoyu or whatever you like! Using the firm tofu is the best I think. Organic too. Low fat tofu if that concerns you.
just prior to them being done cooking, I add grated cheese, and green onions, finely chopped...salt, pepper and voila...a happy family!
PS - My husband just asked me why I'm cooking eggs tonight...YOUR FAULT!
.
I dont' add anything to them while scrambling; if you add milk, it will yield a tenderer egg.
My key is to get the pan hot, add a bit of butter or bacon grease (if I have it), coat the bottom, then add scrambled eggs. Let it alone to cook. When you see it solidifying on the bottom, scrape w/ a heat-proof spatula and let raw egg run to the now-cleared spot. Continue until it is the consistency/firmness you like, then dump out onto plate to stop the cooking.
You have to try this recipe!!!!
Scrambled eggs with bacon
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 pound sliced bacon
4 tablespoons butter
8 eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese
3/4 teaspoon salt
PREPARATION:
Cook bacon to desired doneness and transfer to paper towels to drain. Keep warm. Pour off bacon grease and melt butter in the same skillet. Beat eggs lightly and whisk in cream, salt, and pepper. Pour into hot skillet and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened but still moist, about 6 to 9 minutes. Top with shredded cheese just before finished, and garnish with bacon strips
one thing i noticed is on one put lemon juice in there answers. lemon juice keeps the eggs from turning green. when oxygen hits the cooked eggs and milk they will turn that green color. add about four table spoons of LJ to one dozen eggs. that should keep them a nice fresh color.
To make the scrambeled eggs soft and fluffly...
I take half and half and little milk...and wipp eggs in them....then on medium heat I pour out the eggs...and after every 10 secs fold them...i.e. slight stir.....do this for 2 mins....it comes out soft n fluffy
I like DJ's answer but I would throw a little real butter in there too. Love, honey
I always add milk, it makes them loosen up and creamier. I also like to throw some butter in there as well so not to stick, of course you can always use cooking spray but butter adds more flavor. Make some toast and add some pepper and salt and you are set.
Shame on you "DJ" for giving out scrambled eggs recipes [wonderful as they maybe]! LOL LOL :-)
P.S. I'd use DJ's recipe + a touch of butter for extra taste, as "honey" suggested.
P.P.S. If you prefer your scrambled eggs a little stronger, add a bit of freshly grated [quality] Parmesan Cheese and some chive, and/or finely diced green onion to DJ's "cannibalistic" recipe too. :-) ... A pinch of black and/or "Red" (LOL) pepper adds a special touch too.
