porky pine balls
ground burger & cooked rice in a ball (like a meatball)
then add sauce/with cheese if you want
I don't know the exact recipe.. But my family makes something we call goulash, which is where my dad takes the browned meat and cooked rice and adds it with beans and tomato sauce and anything that sounds good, like if you like real diced tomatoes or anything. I'm sorry I can't give you a real recipe you'll just have to eyeball it. What we use is: Meat, Rice, Bush's baked beans, and Hunts tomato sauce. You can eat it with bread or tortillas.
Sorry!
It sounded so good I'm making it right now :]
Sure brown the hamburger with a chopped onion, then mix in the rice, add the amount of water called for for the rice, cover and simmer 20 minutes until the rice is done.
You might want to try adding a packet of onion soup mix.
Or a can or two of cream of mushroom soup.
stuffed peppers..
just cut the tops and insides out of green red or yellow peppers and stuff it with a mix of
ground meat
rice
eggs so it all stays togeather and spices to your liking
pour tomato juice over all and bake in a glass dish on like 350 for an hour or two.
Brown your hamburger first , then drain off the fat. while you browning the meat cook your rice as directed on package. combine them together with a can or two of tomato soup, simmer for 15 minutes and you have a great hearty meal.. season with whatever you like...
you could make salisbury steak with the hamburger and serve the rice on the side (just make a gravy to go over it). you could also add scallions to the rice (i love white rice with scallions).

Here are a few favorites:
HAMBURGER AND RICE CASSEROLE

1 onion, chopped (less if you like)
1/4 green pepper
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Put meat in greased skillet, add onion, green pepper, salt and pepper. Stir together, low heat until meat loses red color and is crumbly. Butter casserole and spread uncooked rice on bottom. Mix milk and soup together. Pour into meat mixture in skillet. Then pour all over rice. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Check for dryness, add water (or milk) if necessary.
For the crockpot:

Combine all ingredients except rice in slow cooker. Cover. Cook on low 4-6 hours. Serve over rice. Yummy!!

I make taco rice:
Brown the meat with taco seasoning or chili powder, prapika, salt, onion powder, black pepper and a dask of cayanne peper powder. Drain and set a side. Bring rice as instucter on package, to a roiling boil but then add drained, seasoned meat, a can of red, pinto, or black bean (drained of liquid) and 1/2 cup of salsa or taco sauce. Cook according to the rest of rice directions and serve with salsa and tortilla chips.
add some cheese and salsa after the meat and rice are cooked (I would suggest to cook the meat in a pan, and the rice in a pot) and tada you have a one dish wonder that is bound to be delicious you could add some mexican seasonings to add more flavor, but not necessary
Fry the hamburger meat. mix crumbled fried meat, rice, tomato sauce, diced onion & diced tomato together. Stuff mix into bell peppers and bake till warm throughout.
You can make Picadillo. My grandma makes it sometimes, and it's great.

Yes you can, it would be very hearty and yummy-
Rice ala Meat Beat-
1 lb of hamburger meat
2 tbs of Olive oil
2 whole onions
2 tsp of sugar
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of pepper
4 tbs of Wirshister sauce (spelling!)
1 lb of rice
4 Portobello mushrooms
2 cups of chicken broth
1/2 cup of skim milk
1/3 lb mozzarella cheese
First, in a small bowl chop the onions and pour the sugar and set aside. In another bowl, place the hamburger meat, then add the salt, pepper and wirshister sauce, mix thoroughly. In a pot, add the chicken broth and skim milk and allow to simmer. In a frying pan, take the sugared onions and put into the pan, allow to carmelize. To the carmelized onions, add the portobello mushrooms (sliced or whole), then add the meat. The chicken broth and milk should be about to boil, add the rice and stir. As the rice soaks up the liquid, add the mozzarella cheese and mix thoroughly. Now you can add the meat to the the rice, mix and you have a yummy and filling meal.
