Theres a weird chemical reaction going on in my drink mixture, should I drink it?!


Question: Heres my concoction:
-A cup of brewed tea
-2 1/2 Tablespoons of Milk
-2 Teaspoons of Honey
-1 Teaspoon of Lemon Juice

Now there is some funky chemical reaction going on in my cup.

Yes, the lemon is curdling the milk.
It's safe to drink but its not appetizing
Try mixing the lemon with the honey before adding it to the tea and milk.
( actually the lemon turns the milk into ricotta cheese).
I actually use to mix milk with strawberry syrup and seltzer and this reaction would occur.
I loved it.
My friends thought I was crazy.

Milk doesn't usually get along with acids.... like the lemon. The milk is probably what they call curdling. It is safe to drink, but sometimes it can cause a tummy ache. Curdling milk somtimes can cause you to vomit... so be careful.

No, the lemon and milk are curdling.It won't make you violently ill but it can upset your stomach. I would toss it.
