What kinds of flour can you use for pizza crust besides white?!
Answers: You can use any type of flour, but make sure that you use a recipe that uses that type of flour. There are whole wheat recipes, gluten free recipes, oat recipes. Just make sure you follow the directions to a T. They are very different with different types of flour.
I always use whole wheat flour (increase the amount of liquid), and it adds a very good texture. Sometimes I also use rye flour.
Wheat, rye, corn, depends on what you like.
You can use any type of flour. whole grains tend to be heavy so you may like to mix white flour with the whole grains. I usually just fallow my white recipe...
1 cup water
2 teaspoons yeast
1 1/2 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups flour (usually more I just add this amount then while I'm mixing I keep adding a little at a time until the right consistency is reached)
I also mix flours to reach this 2 1/2 mark (at least 1 cup white) then the added parts is usually white flour
