How do you cook peas that are still in the pod?!
Answers: ASAP (aka RIGHT NOW!!!!!)
boil some water and throw the peas in... thats it. its that simple.
I would shell them first and then cook them. You could boil them in salted water but the yummiest approach is to saute them breifly in butter.

If you have regular garden peas, you will need to free them from the pods and then boil in salted water until they're tender. If you have sugar snap peas or the oriental pea pods, then you can saute/stir fry them in their pods for a few minutes to crisp them up and get them nice and hot. Hope that helps.
The only peas that you would want to cook in the pod are snow peas. The regular peas need to be shelled.
i love to saute them with some olive oil, minced garlic, season to taste, add mushrooms and [canned] baby corn... awesome taste.....
