Can I fix Mashed Potatoes that are undercooked?!

Question: I guess I didn't boil the potatoes long enough. I have already smashed in the milk and butter. The chunks left over are too al dente. Anyone have any tricks to fix this mess??

TIA!

Yep, just put in the microwave for a bit. Works every time.

(If you ever pour in too much milk and already started mashing, I keep a box of instant on hand for that one. Just pour a little in and it thickens them right up.)

Put in microwave with a little extra milk for 5to 8 mins then remash

Pop them in the microwave. Cover them and cook them for a couple of min, give it a stir and check. Repeat till done.

You can nook them a little bit in the mircrowave and then try that. You can make them as mashed potatoes, but they will have some lumps.

Add ? cup water (or milk or broth-depending on what you use) and place in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes.
