What can i make with Cornbread mix?!
Answers: I just bought one box of jiffy and i'm sure there's a bunch of recipes out there! any ideas?
Ohh i luve to use that cornbread, make it as directed then add some chopped up jelepanos and mix in some shredded cheese about a cup or so. It is amazingly good.
You can make cornbread!
Or use it for homemade dressing.
Cornbread Casserole Ingredients
1 lb Ground beef
3 Tabasco Sauce; dashes
1 Small onion; chopped
1 tb Prepared mustard
1/2 Green pepper; chopped
Salt and pepper.
2 cn Cream of celery soup
1 pk Jiffy cornbread mix *
Instructions for Cornbread Casserole
*prepared according to pkg.direc. Crumble meat and brown in skillet with onion and green pepper. Drain off fat. Add soups, tabasco, and mustard. Stir to mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour into greased 9x9 pan. Pre heat oven to 400^. Prepare cornbread mix according to pkg. directions and pour over meat mixture spreading evenly to edges of pan. Bake appx. 30 min or until top of cornbread is golden brown. Check by inserting toothpick or knife for doneness.

JIFFY CORN CASSEROLE
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 can creamed corn
2 eggs, beaten
1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix
1 stick butter, melted (or 1/2 c. oil)
1 c. sour cream
1/4 - 1/2 tsp. garlic powder (optional)
Shredded cheese (optional)
Mix all ingredients except cheese. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, if desired. Bake in casserole dish or 9"x13" baking dish for 30 to 45 minutes or until fully cooked in center.
Put chili in the bottom of a baking pan & then pour the cornbread mix on top & bake as per the cornbread directions & then WALLA..........Cornbread chili...mmmmmmmm
Prepare the mix as directed on package and add 1-2 cups of salsa before baking. Delicious!
3 1/2 cups milk
1 cornbread mix
2 teaspoon salt
1 can (about 1 pound or 2 cups) cream-style corn
2 tablespoons butter
5 eggs, well beaten
PREPARATION:
Heat 3 cups milk over hot water in top of double boiler. Mix cornbread mix with remaining milk and salt; add to hot milk in double boiler. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
Add corn and cook for 3 minutes longer. Add butter and stir until butter has melted. Fold in beaten eggs. Transfer mixture to a greased 2-quart casserole. Bake at 375° for 1 hour, or until firm but light (It will sink when removed from oven). Serve immediately with butter. Serves 6.
