Answers: oy vey i just made a pot roast and it fell on the floor what can i do/

pick up the meat and rinse it or cut off the portion that fell to the floor, but I guess that depends upon how clean your floors are...

Or Call for pizza delivery or go out for Chinese.

However, the rinse and remake a gravy/sauce is an okay way to go since you're going to recook it for a few minutes.

:-)

Sorry

Edit...
I had a similar disaster once. I was cooking for a date and tried to impress her by flipping the food in the saute pan. I called her over so she could see, but instead of the food going up, the food slid straight out of the pan straight into the burner in front. Of course, I've never had a problem with flipping food, but I guess I was nervous cooking for this gal. :-)

Fortunately, I still had enough on the side to salvage the meal, but it was more of a soup/salad night. Wine helped a lot! lol

rise it or cut off that piece

Hopefully you still have the pot full of liquid. Rinse it off, then put it back in the pot to simmer for a little longer. That will kill anything it may have picked up on the floor.

Rinse under hot water. I once had just added mushrooms to a pot roast when company arrived. The man hated mushrooms I rinsed the meat and he never knew it had touched a mushroom.

Rinse off the roast really good re spice it and put it back in the oven.

well you can rinse it off in the sink and then stick it back in the oven for a minute so it's warm and not watery.
i hope you don't have any very hairy animals. i do. there really isn't such a thing as the 5 second rule at my house.
but rinsing it off will work just fine, really.

call my dogs over:)
