Ground beef?!

Answers: i need something to cook with ground beef in it. help me out with a recipe

tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, parsley, tomatoe puree, bit of red wine, chop and mix it all up and throw it in with the ground meat once its been browned. While thats heating up, cook some pasta then throw it together at the end. Go buy some decent tear and share garlic bread or somethig and thats about it.

Edit: never bother with measurements and weights or anything, I don't, if you know what your cooking and what you want to end up with at the end then you can just guess. But for two people, few tomatoes, 1 pepper, 1 onion, half or 1 bulb of garlic, bout 2 table spoons of puree, quarter/half glass of red wine. 3 handfuls of wholegrain pasta and 2 handfuls of meat. You can also chop up and add any other veg you like if it needs using up, and I mean anything, cabbage, carrot, celery, leek, might sound strange but then supermarket italian food is nothing like the real thing, which is actually as spicy as some curries.

Lasagna, meatballs, chilli con carne, bolognese?

Casserole? Add noodles, onion, tomato soup and some ketchep. Yum. We call it garbage, some people call it goulash.

If you don't have ground pork, just use all ground beef...these are really good and super easy!

Stuffed Red Peppers

4 large red bell peppers
3/4 pound ground chuck
1/2 pound ground pork
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
2 teaspoons House seasoning, recipe follows
1 cup cooked rice
1/2 cup jarred cheese and salsa
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped green onion tops
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 cup hot water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Start by cutting the peppers in half lengthwise, leaving the stems intact, and halving them also. Remove the seeds and ribs inside the peppers.

Using a hot skillet, saute the ground beef, pork, onion, garlic, 1 teaspoon of bouillon granules, and house seasoning together. Saute until onions become translucent. Drain the fat off. Add the rice, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, green onion tops, and soy sauce. Mix well and stuff the mixture into the peppers. In a small bowl, mix the hot water and the remaining bouillon granules. Pour this mixture into a shallow casserole large enough to hold all of the peppers. Place the stuffed peppers in the dish, cover with foil and bake for 25 to 35 minutes. Remove the foil and spoon the juice from bottom of the casserole over the top of the peppers. Bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.

House Seasoning:
1 cup salt
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup garlic powder

Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months

burgers or lasana

I'm afraid that I have no idea what "ground" beef is, but if it is in any way similar to minced beef, here is a great chilli con carne recipe and a link to the beef recipes site that it comes from.

This recipe is for two hungry people:

1lb (450g) of lean minced steak
1 medium onion (roughly chopped)
5 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
1 green and 1 red Bell Pepper (deseeded and sliced)
1 400g tin of chopped tomatoes
1 400g tin of red kidney beans in water*
3 small red chilli peppers (deseeded and finely chopped)
1 tsp of cumin powder
Salt/freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp freshly chopped coriander (known as cilantro in US) plus a little extra for garnishing
5oz (150g) of basmati or long grain rice

Brown the beef in a large pot then add the onion and garlic to sweat off for a couple of minutes. Add the tomatoes, chillis, kidney beans, peppers, cumin and seasoning and bring up to a gentle simmer. After forty to forty-five minutes, add the coriander and stir well for a couple of minutes. Serve on a bed of fluffy rice - cooked per the guidelines on the packet - and garnish with the remaining coriander.

Here's a link to an easy and delicious "homemade" version of a hamburger helper type dish, cooked in a skillet:
http://www.ehow.com/how_2237535_homemade...

You can make Lasagna, Meatballs, Tacos, Meatloaf, Stuffed Shells, Spaghetti, Sloppy Joe's even use it for Mac&Cheese, Hamburger Helpers and make hamburgers out of ground beef too. Have fun making all that.

Burrito Pie
Ingredients

2lbs ground beef
1 onion-chopped
2 tsp. minced garlic
1 can black olives-sliced
1 4oz can diced green chili peppers
1 10oz can diced tomatoes with green chili peppers
2 1/2 cups red taco sauce
1 16 oz cans refried beans
12 (8 inch) flour tortillas
9 oz shredded shredded Colby cheese (I use cheddar)

Prep
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the ground beef for 5 minutes. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 5 more minutes. Drain any excess fat, if desired. Add the olives (save some for the end) green chile peppers, tomatoes and green chile peppers, taco sauce and refried beans. Stir mixture thoroughly. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
3. Spread a thin layer of the bottom of a 4-quart casserole dish. Cover with a layer of tortillas followed by more meat mixture, then a layer of cheese. Repeat tortilla, meat, and cheese pattern until all the tortillas are used, ending with a layer of the meat and cheese on top. Sprinkle with the saved black olives.
4. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until cheese is slightly brown and bubbly.

TIPS:
#1 If you don't like your food very spicy, add only 1/4 -1/2 of the chilies.
#2 Don't leave out the diced tomatoes, it tastes kind of funny without it.
