1(16ounce)package of frozen rolls, thawed
vegetable oil
powdered sugar

Flatten and stretch each roll slightly. Pour oil to the depth of 2 inches in fry pan; heat to 375°F. Fry 4 at a time in hot oil for 1 to 2 minutes or until golden, turning often. Drain on the paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately.

The easiest recipe is to use those biscuits in a can that's found in the refigerated section - For example, Pilsbury Refrigerated Biscuits. Country or buttermilk will work, don't use the Grands or the flaky buiscuits. They seem to sop up a lot of oil.

You get very good results without having all the mess of making them.

When I lived in New Orleans, I mentioned this to my coworkers and they thought I was messin' with them. Well, I invited them over and we made a batch. They agreed I was correct!

Can't get any quicker or easier. :-)

try frying up refrigerated biscuit dough.

unless you buy ready mixed there is not a quick and easy was to make these properly, i dont know if my recipe is any quicker than yours..............

INGREDIENTS
9 g active dry yeast
355 ml warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
100 g white sugar
6 g salt
2 eggs
235 ml evaporated milk
875 g all-purpose flour
50 g shortening
945 ml vegetable oil for frying
30 g confectioners' sugar

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, eggs, evaporated milk, and blend well. Mix in 4 cups of the flour and beat until smooth. Add the shortening, and then the remaining 3 cups of flour. Cover and chill for up to 24 hours.
Roll out dough 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 2 1/2 inch squares. Fry in 360 degree F (180 degrees C) hot oil. If beignets do not pop up, oil is not hot enough. Drain onto paper towels.
Shake confectioners' sugar on hot beignets. Serve warm.
