I am haveing a BBQ with 45 adults and 20 kids how many burgers, dogs and chicken do I get, will side dishes 2?!

Question: Buy a lot, don't count on people filling up on side dishes, you don't want to run out. Get at least one burger and hot dog for each person (remember, some of them won't end up eating any and some will eat 2 or more) and then I would say about enough chicken to feed 1/2 or 2/3. You may have extra but it will be better than running out, and the extras can be frozen and used later.

I would have at least 65 burgers, 40 dogs and 50 chicken. As to sides adults will go for potato salad, pasta salad, baked beans but for the kids have chips/dip, veggies/dip, sliced melon.

i would get about 30 hamburgers and one big box of hotdogs from like sams..with 80 dogs in the box...kids tend to eat hotdogs at cookouts and do two bags of chicken breast and a bag of thighs and legs...have at least ten bags of different chips...chili for the dogs with ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish tomatoes lettuce pickles and onions...do a potato salad and a big can of beans like the institutional size cans...perhaps even a macaroni salad...perhaps some desserts such as three or four premade cakes from walmart or your local store cut them before you put them out so people dont take half the cake as a slice....you could also do some cookie trays ..you buy different types and put them on a plate or tray...

with this much food you will have plenty...most people wont eat a hamburger and chicken..and the thing is if you run out of one..you have plenty of the rest i wouldnt over buy unless its for a catered affair if its family and friends..this is a good variety..

60 burgers, 60 hot dogs, 40 chicken

i would do at least 65 burgers and 50 hot dogs and 60 pieces of chicken.
i would alter this depending on the ratio of women:men and young children:older children.
always better to have leftovers than run out. and if you know whether you are serving big eaters or picky eaters.

This is what I would do:
1 lb ground meat makes about 6 burgers
45 adults get 7lb meat +2 lb for kids=9lbs get less 7lb.total
Make them into patties and freeze them- after frozen, put them into several freezer bags and remove from freezer as needed.to BBQ them.
Hot Dogs- at least one per person including kids =70 hot dogs.
Chicken-60 pieces of chicken total
Stick to a variety of salads about 3 different-potato-coleslaw and either tossed or a bean salad.
and corn on the cob is easy for a crowd.
Cut up melons and fresh berries for dessert with country pies and ice cream scooped onto the pie.
Sounds like fun and hope you have help.
