How do you make hot coco?!
Answers: I make mine with milk, sugar and hershey's chocolate powder and a dash of cinnamon, but was wondering what other recipes are out there.
1/2 cup plus 1 Tablespoon Cocoa powder
1/2 cup sugar (white table)
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 cups milk
3 cups heavy cream
1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
marshmallows to taste
In a 3 quart sauce pan, stir in cocoa, sugar & salt together.
Stir in a small amount of milk to make a paste.
Stir in remaining milk & cream.
Over medium-low heat; heat mixture, stirring ever so often, until tiny bubbles form around the edge of pan.
Remove from heat, add the vanilla extract.
Using a whisk, beat mixture until smooth..
Pour into mugs and garnish with marshmallows.
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. Hershey cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. hot water
4 qts. (1 gal. milk)
1 tbsp. vanilla
In a 6 quart saucepan combine sugar, cocoa and salt. Gradually add hot water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Boil and stir 2 minutes. Add milk; beat to serving temperature, stirring occasionally. DO NOT BOIL. Remove from heat, add vanilla. Serve hot
You could try some condensed milk, fresh ground chocolate beans, vanilla beens, and cinnamon. It's really good, just heat up mixture. You could also use regular milk.
