Steak question??!


Question: I found this recipe for braciole on the food network(gotta love good eats).And i thinking about making it but i was wondering would the butcher at my local supermarket flaten my steak for me?So i dont have to pound out my steak.Thanks.

It depends on whether they are a full service meat counter. All you can do is ask.

You would have to ask, depends on what services they do and how good of a butcher works there.

He/she might. Wouldn't hurt to ask. Especially if your meat counter sells minute steaks. I don't have much experience asking the butcher to "detail" my meat! Sorry...

All you have to do is ask...mine will. I suggest call first, if you don't want to make a special trip.

I'm sure they will. If you want them even thinner when you get home lay the slices between two sheets of clingfilm and roll with a rolling pin just as you would pastry. This thins them without tearing.

they may or you can do it your self with a large glass bowl. All you have to do is keep hitting the steak really hard.
