TORTILLA WRAPS (or ROLL UPS)

1 pkg. very large flour tortillas
8 oz. softened cream cheese
romaine lettuce (washed) and separated into leaves
thinly sliced deli ham
thinly sliced deli cheese
Spread the cream cheese all over the top of each tortilla. 1 layer each of the ham & cheese, and a lettuce leaf across each tortilla. Roll up tightly ... slice into 2" slices for roll-up sandwiches .... (Note: These are easier if you wrap them in saran or foil, and refrigerate for an hour before slicing, but it'll work just fine for your demonstration)

I did one of those once long ago =)

Do a fruit pizza, so simple. Just show the main prepping of the frosting or yogurt mixed with sugar & cream cheese (whatever you choose to use)

Then explain cleaning the fruit, and show how it all goes together. I found that one works well!!!

This is really good. Bake your crescents the night before. Then just make your mix and cut your veggies the day of. I prefer no dill in mine and like to dice and English cuke. It's really good too!

2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury? refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup small fresh broccoli florets
1/3 cup quartered cucumber slices
1 plum (Roma) tomato, seeded, chopped
1/4 cup shredded carrot

DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 375°F. Separate cans of dough into 4 long rectangles. In ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan, place dough; press in bottom and up sides to form crust.
2. Bake 13 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
3. In small bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, dill and garlic powder until smooth. Spread over crust. Top with vegetables. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours before serving. Cut into 8 rows by 4 rows.

Watch the food channel and observe their method. They explain what they are going to make and show all the ingredients in the first segment. They put the ingredients together and put the recipe into the oven or fridge in the next segment. In the last segment they show you a completed recipe, that they made beforehand.

Do this only cut the segments down to two or three minutes each. Get one set of ingredients, explain what you are going to make and put the ingredients together, it doesn't matter if your are doing it thoroughly or correctly. Like, if you are making a brownie mix, just add the ingredients into the bowl, take a couple of swipes around the bowl with a spatula and then pour the 'batter' into a pan. Pretend your putting the pan into some pretend oven below the counter. It doesn't matter if the batter is really mixed well or whatever, you are just going to toss it out in the trash anyway. Then whip out a completed version of the recipe (that you made beforehand at home) and pass out pieces of it to your class.

Brownies would be a really good suggestion.

Cheese Cake Sandwitchs
1 package gram Crackers
1 package cream cheese
1 jar strayberry preserves

Simply spread cream cheese on 1 cracker and preserves on the other than close and enjoy. These are great for any age and excellent with tea.

Good Luck!

I would demonstrate with an explanation while making a healthy smoothie
You could bring a blender to the demo and practice beforehand at home. Bring, tiny little plastic sample cups the kind that hold pills in hospitals, or little dixie cups for a taste test by your audience after the preparation of one of the recipes.
***Apricot Pineapple Smoothie Recipe
1/4 cup crushed pineapple
1 fresh apricot, diced
6 strawberries
1/2 banana
1 1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. skim milk powder
1 heaping tbsp. high- quality protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. flax seed oil (optional)

***Power Protein Smoothie
Looking for a delicious and protein packed smoothie? This may satisfy both the needs of your taste buds and muscles.
Ingredients:
2 cups of milk
2 tablespoons chocolate milk syrup
1/2 teaspoon dry chocolate pudding mix
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 banana
1 cups ice
You may wish to add whey power, and that packs even more protein in this drink. Try one tablespoon for extra protein power.

***To avoid the flu
Vitamin C Smoothie
Ingredients:
3 cups of watermelon
1 cup cantaloupe
1/2 cup strawberries
1 cup low-fat plain yogurt
2 cups of ice
Blend and feel better soon.
These are just 3 recipes. Maybe research the topic even further.
In a grocery store in the frozen food section, there are pkg of frozen mixed fruits that would work well. and you could create your own recipe using the recipes provided as a guide.
I like my idea very much.

You can't go wrong with pancakes
equal part milk, plain flour and eggs
eg. 1 cup of each.

whisk all until smoothe
have frying pan warming up in mean time
oi in the pan, swill it round then dispose of excess
put enough mixture in pan to cover surface
leave on light until it looks dry on the top, then flip!
okk for 1 minute longer and serve with anything

Rum cream and raisins
chocolate sauce
lemon and sugar
strawberries
icecream

ANYTHING!!!!

delicious!
