Isn't it funny that when you were a kid you always got the fat off the Sunday roast...?!

Question: and forced to eat it while the elders had the prime cuts.

Answers: and forced to eat it while the elders had the prime cuts.

That's SOOOO funny and true, ha-ha!!! I wonder if you have ever seen the routine where Chris Rock explains the same thing with his Dad- priceless :o)

Ohhh, don't remember that ever happening. My mom trimmed all the fat before cooking.

Back when I was a kid, the beef was better quality and the fat was tasty. We had 5 kids in the house so it was always a fight as to who was going to get it. Now, unless it is organic, grass fed beef, I won't touch the fat.

I've never even heard of giving kids the fat, while the adults ate the prime rib!! There was a very thin layer of fat over the whole roast, but it was SO tasty, dark & crunchy! My Gram was truly the BEST COOK!

Yeah but it was the best part! Yummy!

I don't remember that , and I was never forced to eat anything. But I still trim the fat off of most anything.

I always felt I got the best part!! Meat doesn't thrill me even today..
