Answers: yes go to your butchers and ask them for a pound of mince.

indeed, beef mince. fry it up with some onions and then either add a jar of bolognaise sauce or make your own sauce with chopped tomatoes and tomato puree....mmmmmm

Yup, fry some mince meat with some onion and then add in a can of chopped tomatoes when it is browned and a teaspoon of tomato puree then simmer for about 1/2 an hour. I am getting hungry thinking about it! Good luck

i usually fry onions and garlic in a little olive oil, brown off the mince and add a can of chopped tomatoes, mushrooms, worcester sauce and oregano. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for around 20 minutes - delicious over freshly cooked spaghetti

Yes, absolutely.
There are many websites with recipes. Just type Spaghetti Bolognese and you will be surprised at how many results you get.
Bon apetit!

yes you do. brown the mince meat and squash it around with the spoon to make it separate, otherwise it will just end up a big lump. lightly fry some chopped onion and garlic for a couple of minutes. add a splash of wine if you have a bottle open. add a big tin of pureed or chopped tomatoes. add a sprinkling of herbs, salt, pepper. leave to cook on lowest setting for a few hours at least. this will improve flavour and tenderise.

Beef mince or steak mince (not mince meat like at christmas)

Yes....................chop an onion and fry it till it looks clear, add your mince and brown it (stiring till it breaks up and turns brown)...finely chop a carrot and add that.......... then add a tin of chopped tomatoes... add some tomatoe puree and some mixed herbs, salt and pepper.... you could also add a little drop of red wine and let it simmer.

Add a bay leave as well as what everyone else is saying plus a clove or 2 of garlic. I always cook mine for about 2 hours not 20 mins!! Once you've added the tomatoes, top up the pot with boiling water and let it simmer away.

Yes, you use mince meat, spagghetti and marcaroni. Mix with other smaller "things" to aide the flavor but take note: too many cooks will spoil the broth!!

You must ask for mincED meat. Mince meat is what goes into mince pies, and it's sweet.

Spaghetti Bolognese

Serves 6-8

Preparation time less than 30 mins

Cooking time 1 to 2 hours

Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil or sun-dried tomato oil from the jar
6 rashers of smoked streaky bacon, chopped
2 large onions, chopped
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1kg/2?lb lean minced beef
2 large glasses of red wine
2x400g cans chopped tomatoes
1x290g jar antipasti marinated mushrooms, drained
2 fresh or dried bay leaves
1 tsp dried oregano or a small handful of fresh leaves, chopped
1 tsp dried thyme or a small handful of fresh leaves, chopped
drizzle balsamic vinegar
12-14 sun-dried tomato halves, in oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper
a good handful of fresh basil leaves, torn into small pieces
800g-1kg/1?-2?lb dried spaghetti
lots of freshly grated parmesan cheese, to serve

Method
1. Heat the oil in a large, heavy-based saucepan and fry the bacon until golden over a medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, frying until softened. Increase the heat and add the minced beef. Fry it until it has browned, breaking down any chunks of meat with a wooden spoon. Pour in the wine and boil until it has reduced in volume by about a third. Reduce the temperature and stir in the tomatoes, drained mushrooms, bay leaves, oregano, thyme and balsamic vinegar.
2. Either blitz the sun-dried tomatoes in a small blender with a little of the oil to loosen, or just finely chop before adding to the pan. Season well with salt and pepper. Cover with a lid and simmer the Bolognese sauce over a gentle heat for 1-1? hours until it's rich and thickened, stirring occasionally. At the end of the cooking time, stir in the basil and add any extra seasoning if necessary.
3. Remove from the heat to 'settle' while you cook the spaghetti in plenty of boiling salted water (for the time stated on the packet). Drain and divide between warmed plates. Scatter a little parmesan over the spaghetti before adding a good ladleful of the Bolognese sauce, finishing with a scattering of more cheese and a twist of black pepper.

Tip:
You can make a veggie version of this recipe by substituting soya mince or Quorn for the meat, adding it to the sauce halfway through cooking. Or simply add lots of diced vegetables to the onions, such as courgettes, carrots, peppers and aubergines.

hi this is sebastiano
and i will say first of all there is to way to make spag bol. the irst one is the traditional ,diced veri smallsome of the celeri, carotts and ognion (if you want you could blend all ingredient in a food processor) then gently brown the veg at this stage put the heat up and add the mince (because beef mince here in england is so fat i will suggest to use 2/3 of beef and 1/3 of pork/lamb mince) brown the mince and add a good 1/3 of a decent red vine bottle,at this stage whait until all the vine is goone and add the chopped tomato o passata and cook slowly for 2/3 hours( i will suggest if you have a parmesan cut the crust and add in the sauce also i will recomand to use some mazolin o if you dont have any a piece of fabric will do ,then bring same of peppercorn ,bay leavs, thime, parsley stalks, origano, and wrapped like a tandle and tied whit some roasting sting and then add to the sauce.
THE SECOND METOD will be the quickest and easy you DON'T HAVE TO USE MINCE just use some of beff trimming put in a pot some of diced celeri potato carrots, ognion and let cook until brown then add all you trimming but you have to cut them in a small pieces ,after verse some white vine and some chopped tomato not many until the meet is cover and cook until the vine is dissapered (you can also add the bundle here otherwise just add some spice in the vine) once is ready add a spoon of flour and mix in to the sauce this will thick the sauce ,add a lot of parmesan grated and some chopped parsley and you doone
let me now hos going

A classic dish and really easy to make, try this Spaghetti Bolognese recipe for a great, filling evening meal. i sometimes add 3 strips of bacon cut into small peices and add with mince to cook. you can leave out the celery if you don't like it, and add a chopped pepper and a feww chopped mushrooms to bulk it up........................yummy

Ingredients500g Minced Beef
1 chopped onion
180g chopped carrots
1 tbsp olive oil
2 chopped celery sticks
2 tins chopped tomatoes
large squirt of tomato puree
1 clove crushed garlic
2 beef stock cubes
2 bay leaves
400g dried spaghetti
150ml red wine

Method:1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over a medium heat, add the minced beef and cook until browned.

2. Add the onion, carrots, garlic and celery. Cook these until they are slightly soft, but make sure they do not brown.

3. Add the tomatoes, tomato puree, stock cubes made up with 150ml boiling water, wine and the bay leaves, stirring as you go.

4. Bring the heat down to a low level and cook until the carrots and celery are soft, this can take anything up to 1 hour 30 mins.

5. For a really rich flavour make sure you stir the sauce to break up the minced beef and the tomatoes, this can also be done with a potato masher if you wish. Take out the bay leaves just before serving.

6. Cook the spaghetti as per the instructions on the pack. Drain and serve with the bolognese sauce, garnish with parmesan cheese, and if you wish, some basil leaves.

Serves: 4-6
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour 30 minutes
