Question: Grilling venison steaks...I wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to a marinade, etc. I'd prefer something you have tried yourself as opposed to a link to a website....

If possible marinate them over night to expel some of that gamy flavor and to penetrate the meat and to tenderize

add some soy sauce, kosher salt, worstershire sauce, pepper, garlic, onion powder , honey and lemon or squeeze of fresh orange and some red pepper flakes to a plastic baggie

marinate over night if possible if not about an hour would be okay

next preheat the grill or fire it up! and pat dry those venison steaks with a papertowel & discard the marinade unless you want to boil it down to create a sauce..then add those puppies to the grill..mmmm..make up some fresh corn on the cob and you got a meal!

I like it with just some Garlic Salt and that's it.

I marinade all my steaks and pork chops in A-1 Chicago steakhouse Marinade. It is awesome! I would try it on Venison steak if I got the chance. The marinade has great flavor that can be strong so I would imagine that it would work well with the gamey taste of venison.

If I were you, I wouldn't marinate them at all. I would just season them with some course ground pepper and kosher salt. Marinading them will make them lose the venison flavor and just taste like beef.

pepper ans kosher salted seasoning would be most likable, try it and see

get a package of good season dressing mix,1/4 c.of cider vinegar,3Tbsp. water,1/2 c. water,1Tbsp.soy sauce and 1Tbsp brown sugar.

Salt, garlic powder, pepper and I put them on the forman 5. Yummy
