If you want a real, homemade lasagna, here is your answer. I will give you the recipe, but you can also go onto the website I found it and it gives step-by-step directions with pictures. It's wonderful! And the ingredients are those found anywhere. Good luck!

Pioneer Woman’s Lasagna
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 pound hot breakfast sausage (Jimmy Dean’s bulk)
2 cloves minced garlic
2 14.5 oz cans whole tomatoes
2 6 oz cans tomato paste
2 T dried parsley flakes
2 T dried basil
1 t salt
10-oz package of lasagna noodles (the wavy kind) (boil adding ? t salt and 1 T olive oil to water) al dente
Mix together:
3 cups lowfat cottage cheese
2 beaten eggs
? cup Kraft Parmesan cheese
2 T dried parsley flakes
1 tsp salt
1 lb sliced mozzarella cheese
In a skillet, combine 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, 1 pound hot breakfast sausage, and 2 cloves minced garlic.
Cook until brown. Drain off about half the fat (or more, to taste).
After that, add two 14.5-oz cans of whole tomatoes, two 6-oz cans of tomato paste, 2 tablespoons of dried parsley flakes, 2 tablespoons dried basil and 1 teaspoon salt.
Mix together thoroughly and simmer, uncovered, about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
In the meantime, boil a 10-oz package of lasagna noodles. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt to the water, as well as 1 tablespoon olive oil to keep the noodles from sticking. Cook the noodles “al dente” so they’ll still have quite a bite to them. When they’re finished cooking, drain, rinse with cool water, and lay the noodles flat on a sheet of aluminum foil. That way, they’ll be easier to handle later.
While the meat mixture and noodles are cooking, mix 3 cups lowfat cottage cheese in a bowl with 2 beaten eggs. To the cottage cheese, add 1/2 cup Kraft Parmesan Cheese. 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes, and 1 teaspoon salt. Mix together well.
Now, go ahead and build your assembly line: meat mixture, 1 pound sliced mozzarella cheese, cottage cheese mixture, and cooked lasagna noodles. Lay four cooked lasagna noodles in the bottom of the pan, overlapping as you go. Spread half of the cottage cheese mixture evenly over the noodles. Then lay 1/2 pound of mozzarella cheese slices on top of the cottage cheese mixture. This particular brand of cheese was cut very thin, so I had to double up the slices to make 1/2 pound. Don’t let this throw you off—some brands are cut thicker, and would only require a single layer of slices. NOTE: I prefer sliced mozzarella, but you can certainly use grated mozzarella if necessary. With the spoon, make a line through the middle of the meat mixture so you’ll distribute it evenly. Spread a little less than half of the meat mixture over the mozzarella cheese slices until it’s evenly distributed. Repeat and finish with meat mixture.
Top with a pretty generous layer of good ole Kraft grated parm.
Now pop it in a 350-degree oven for 20-30 minutes, until hot and bubbly. (Alternately, you could cover and freeze it, unbaked, at this point or cover and refrigerate, unbaked, for up to two days before baking.)

Here is the website. It will take you right to the lasagna recipe and directions and pictures:

Easy & Tastey Lasagna,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ENJOY!!! :--)

1 lb ground beef
9 lasagna noodles
16 ounces ricotta cheese
16 ounces whole tomatoes
16 ounces spaghetti sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
basil
oregano
parsley
1 clove garlic
1 small onion
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Brown beef with garlic and onion in a 10" pan.

Add tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, spices, and sugar.

Simmer uncovered for 45 minutes.

Boil and drain lasagna noodles.

Mix ricotta cheese and parmesan cheese and some parsley.
Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Construct the lasagna with layers of noodles, meat sauce, ricotta cheese, and shredded cheese.

I use two pans: an 8x8 and a 9x4 loaf pan, bake one and freeze the other.

If you use a 13x9 you will probably need more lasagna noodles.

Bake with foil covering for 30 minutes.

Remove foil and bake uncovered another 15 minutes.

EASY LASAGNA ( very easy to make)

1 pkg Lasagna noodles
1 Medium jar of spaghetti sauce
1 bag Shredded mozarella cheese
1 bag Shredded Italian mix cheese
2 lbs Lean hamburger meat
Garlic Salt

Preparation
Cook lasagna noodles according to directions on package. Brown the hamburger meat and a dash or two of garlic salt.

Preheat oven to 350.

Mix hamburger meat with spaghetti sauce and put thin layer on bottom of 9x13 baking dish. Add layer of pasta noodles.

Add layer of spaghetti sauce mixture, mozarella, Italian mix, then noodles.

Repeat until dish is full. Ending with a thin layer of cheese.

Bake for about 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before cutting.

This is very easy to make and you should be able to find all the ingredients in England. Hope this helps! My son is 17 and he makes this for dinner.

Lasagna is very versatile. The basics are lasagna noodles, tomato sauce, ricotta cheese, eggs and mozzarella.

You can add veggies or ground beef. You can also make a white lasagna with alfredo sauce, chicken, spinach and mushrooms.

The cheese mixture is 1 large container ricotta cheese (you can also use 2 pkgs. of tofu instead for a vegetarian lasagna) 3 eggs and some italian seasoning (basil, oregano, etc.)

Precook your lasagna noodles like you would any pasta. It's easier to handle them if you cook them off then rinse under cold water to cool them.

Then you'll layer everything starting with a little bit of sauce on the bottom of the pan so it won't stick. Then in this order:

Noodles
Cheese mixture
Meat or Veggies
Sauce
Mozzarella

Do 2 or 3 layers depending on the height of your pan. The last layer should just be Noodles, Sauce and Mozzarella.

Put it is a 375 degree oven until chesse on top is golden brown and melty. Take it out of the oven and let it set for 10 minutes.

I buy a dolmio lasagne sauce & a dolmio white sauce.
brown mince in a frying pan & some onion. I then add courgette tomatoes - tinned & a few fresh and you can add mushroom & aubagine.
I then put the mince onion & other veg in the slow cooker with the red sauce untill im ready to put in a dish with lasagne sheets & top with the white sauce & some grated cheese I then bake in the oven for 40 min
