Best food mom or grandma made?!
Answers: Out of all the foods you have eaten that was made by your mom or grandma which one was your favorite? My grandma made the best chicken and dumplings and now my mother makes them, as well as I do. My mother can make the best summer dessert that consists of lemon pudding, lemon juice, graham cracker crust, cream cheese and I am not sure what else, but is so good.
peanut butter-snicker pie . Just email me if you want the recipe. it was and is delicious .
Mom: sweet potato pie
Grandma (maternal): Macaroni & Cheese
Grandma (paternal): Southern fried chicken, potato salad
Best gramma food... Raisin filled cookies. they were sugar cookies with sweet ground up raisins in them. She is the only person I know of who makes them.
Other gramma- baked ham and red eye gravy, also a delicious bean salad.
Best momma food- I loved her hamburger gravy and mashed potatoes, and she was the best beef season-er. She could take a tough piece of meat and make it melt in your mouth thinking it was a tender steak.
My Gramma made the best macaroni and cheese. Everyone loved it, noone can make it quite like her. She's gone now ,has been for 10 years ,and I still cant get the recipe like hers! I keep trying tho!
Peach Cobbler,,,,,,,,,,,,Mmmm,,,,,,,,,,,SO GOOD!!! :--)
Mom's lasagna
Grandma Vi's (Violet) clam chowder soup (only at Christmas, she would make it). It would never seem like Christmas without it.
Grandma Dee Dee's homemade spaghetti sauce
I have to say both Mom & grandma made the best Stuff Cabbage... Wow makes my mouth water...
I sure do miss them...
fried chicken
Everything my grandmother made was good...but she made THE best mashed potatoes. Seems like such an ordinary food...but these were the smoothest, creamiest, tastiest I have ever had.
My mom's are a close second. She also makes a mean pork roast. Tender, juicy, full of flavor. It's my favorite. Last but not least, broccoli and beef, over white rice....better than ANY Chinese food restaurant I've tried. My step-dad asks for it every year on his birthday.
Fried chicken dinner for Sundays..no chicken will ever be as good..
My grandmother was the best cook and baker EVER! Her Sunday prime rib dinners were the best I've ever tasted! and my mom made a great chocolate cake, with a graham cracker bottom, that you scooped out of the pan, and it had a hot fudge sauce baked in that flowed over the cake & graham cracker bottom....
mom- lemon flavored sugar cookies
grandma-chicken and noodles with mashed potatoes and gravy
