Do air bake pans bake more evenly?!

Question: I am talking about the pans that have two layers of metal with a layer of air between them. My MIL suggested I get these for perfect cakes, but I don't see them at most bake stores. Do they really work, or are they a waste of money?

They work but are not the only solution. I have only used the cookie sheet ones and have no positive or negative opinions on the cake versions. I can say for cookies, I prefer just using a flat sheet with a sheet of parchment. Parchment prevents burning better than the air layer and also eases cleanup

They really work. I have 2 cookie sheets and I've never burned a cookie yet. They are the best, get some.

They really work. Their cookie sheets are the best. The cookies don't brown on the bottom before they are cooked. A great investment. Listen to the MIL. :)

Yes, they really do work. I just don't use them b/c you can't put them in the dishwasher.

Any heavy-gauge metal (heavy for it's size) baking sheet will work. I use a jellyroll pan, actually (short sides on it) and use parchment paper.
