How do I use sea salt (in cooking)?!

Question: First of all:
Can I use it in cooking?
How do I use it?
Can I replace it with regular table salt in my cooking?
Will it taste the same?

I actually took a seasoning class and we had a salt taste comparison. Sea salt is definately better than plain table salt but it will add a different flavor. You'll notice the difference. Kosher salt is also better than table salt and won't change the flavor of foods as much.
Use either like regular salt but don't use as much. Once you've used Kosher salt you'll never want to use table salt again--there's that much of a difference.
Sea Salt works better with certain foods. There are somethings it will change the flavor of too much. For instance, steaks. It will really throw a steak's flavor off.
For regular cooking you should replace regular salt with Kosher and also keep some sea salt around for dishes that specifically call for it or to add a subtle difference in flavor. Play around with it. These salts aren't expensive and once you notice the differences you'll want to have different varieties. Then you can get into things like smoked salts and flavored salts like truffle salt. Like in all cooking, TASTE everything!

yes to all

yes
this is the only salt we buy

Of course - you can use it exactly the same. In fact sea salt is better because it's not processed (usually), is coarser and adds a nicer flavor.

Anything other than Kosher or Sal de Mer is junk. There's a difference in the intensity too. Try out a taste comparison and experience the diff.

yes to all...and you will never go back to yucky tasting iodized salt!

Yes, you can use it in cooking, just as you would table salt.
It will taste better!
It tends to be stronger, so use it the same or a little less.

Sea salt is better for you, tastes better and has less processed chemicals. You can actually use LESS than you would with regular table salt. In fact, if you are trying to reduce your sodium but still let your food not taste like crap, the sea salt is definitely the way to go.

They sell it in several forms. Rocks, which you grind up yourself, cooking and baking. I suggest getting the kind you grind yourself. You can get the kind of grinder than is really fine.

Way better than crappy old table salt!

Yes, yes, yes, and yes! Yes to all!

I agree with the others, but keep in mind IODINE (found in table salt) is a NECESSARY nutrient.....
I love Kosher and Sea salts too!!

you can and Im not sure but be very careful in how you use it it is more concentrated than table salt

I know the difference when using it. I am not a big fan of it. but that is just my opinion
