Do you know of any good ways to use ramen noodles...?!


Question: besides eating them plain. We have like 10 packages that no one will eat so maybe there is a way to use them in a recipe or something to get rid of them faster.

Play Jenga with them.

Crunch them up and put them into coleslaw:) They're surprisingly good in there! You can use the flavor packet to mix with sour cream and/or mayonnaise for the dressing

When I was young and poor we would always buy Ramen on those BIG sales and kep it around for those "desparate times at the end of the month...

But I don't remember ever eating it plain...We usually added inexpensive things like the frozen chicken we bought on sale (one breast cut up will add to a Ramen soup for four) and always add fresh green onions when it is done for a fresh made flavor..... fresh sprouts, grated carrot, thin sliced celery (one stick),a piece of left-over pork, tiny shrimp in a "chicken" Ramen...can all add up to a good, quick lunch. The more the merrier...and the better.

edit: I just remembered sometimes just ditch the chicken "soup" packet and use the noodles in REAL stock; to serve something really good...keep the sesame oil though.

Beef and noodle bowl

2, 3 ounces, package ramen noodles
12 ounces beef top round steak
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/8 tp 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon bottled minced garlic
1 cup beef broth, or more if desired
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 green onions, sliced
1 cup shredded carrots

Cook noodles according to package directions but do not use the flavor packets. Drain.
Cut beef across the grain into bite size strips.
In a large, deep skillet heat oil over medium-high heat.
Cook and stir beef and garlic in hot oil 2 to 3 minutes or until desired doneness.
Push beef from center of pan.
Add broth and soy sauce.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat.
Stir meat into broth.
Cook and stir 2 minutes more.
Add noodles, onion and carrots to wok. Toss to combine.
Ladle mixture into soup bowls.

SUPER RAMEN!!!!!! As told above...add basically what you have on hand in the way of meat and fresh veggies. If you don't have meat, or are a vegetarian, use egg..you can beat the egg prior to adding, add slowly and stir while adding. It will idealy turn out looking like an eggdrop type soup. Tofu is also something GREAT to add. Good luck...dadaDA daDAA SUUPER RAAMEN!!!!!!

We make a great salad topping with them, it also is a good snack.

Heat 1/2 stick of butter in a large non-stick pot, add some hot sauce, garlic and salt.
Add 1/4 cup sesame seeds. 1/2 cup slivered almonds and stir.
Crush two packs of noodles and add to the pot, stir and cook over medium heat, until browned. Set aside to cool and store in a plastic air tight container. Eat at will.

For the salad, finely chop one head of napa cabbage and 2 scallions. You can use precut "angel hair" cabbage if you like.

Salad dressing is, 1/2 cup oil, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup vinegar, and 1/8th cup soy sauce, bring to a boil for 2 minutes and let cool. Whip with a good whisk.

Put cabbage in a bowl, cover with crunchies and toss with dressing. This will wilt quickly so mix just before serving.

If you add cheese, tomatoes, chicken, tuna fish, crasins or raisins or whatever you like, it becomes a meal.

After it has wilted, put in a lettuce leaf and roll up eat like a snack.

Enjoy.

I put them in hot and sour soup. Great way to get noodles for it.

ummmm not really sure. not an expert but maybe try typing in goodle ramen noodle recipies :)
