Did I mess up the meal if I didn't put in HOT water?!

Question: Well I was making one of Betty Crocker's "Complete Meals". It was the Three Cheese Chicken. It said to put in HOT water, but I didn't realize it said hot until after I poured in the water. Will the meal be ruined now?? I don't know if this makes a difference but the directions say:
Pour Progresso Creamy sauce with chicken into ungreased pan.
Stir in entire packet Sauce Mix until blended.
Stir in 1 3/4 cups hot water and uncooked Pasta.
Cover pan with foil, bake as directed.

Is it messed up?

I agree with the other posts- the meal is not ruined. They say hot because the ingredients are dehydrated and the hot water absorbs into them faster. The pasta may end up a little more firm than you like, but that is the worst that could happen. Try baking for 2-3 min longer than the directed time, just keep an eye on it.

It shouldn't have if you are going to boil it anyway.

Honestly I don't think so. You may need to adjust your baking time to allow the water to get hot. Just keep an eye on it and make sure the pasta is done.

the reason for the hot water is to have the dried ingredients dissolve and mix together better. You might just find some dry or not fully mixed parts of the sauce. An you might need to cook it a little longer to make sure the noodles get soft enough.

It will take a little longer to cook and the flavour may not dissolve properly.
It will not be ruined, but may taste a little less than it should taste.
It will not be totally messed up.
Learn from your mistakes as the rest of us do.

Probably not. Give it a stir part way through though - the heat of the water might have been to help the sauce mix dissolve more quickly.
