How can I clean my soft serve ice cream machine?!

Question: I used it and I had no idea how to rinse the part where the ice cream comes out. I thought i got it all, but now, there's mold in it. I want to use it again, but how do I get the mold out? Also, how can I wash it properly next time?

For the mold...use a heavy cleaner like PineSol and then vinegar to cut the PineSol. For small orifices use a small bottle cleaner or even a small rag with a piece of rope or twine attached to it to use like a gun barrel cleaner.
For cleanup later, clean in your normal dishwasher or dish water.
While in the Army as food service, I had to clean this type of machine many times. We did a complete tear down and washed in it normal dish water.

The key to a thorough clean is a full disassemble.

try soaking it in dish washing detergent for a couple hours.

take it apart, soap, hot water

mmmm...mold spore ice cream...my favorite. If it wasn't for all that sugar in it, I'd have some right now!

run warm bleach water through it, then clear warm water, until it runs clear.

Most machines come apart for cleaning, if yours does not have instructions, it may be possible to look them up on line.

Good luck!

Try using a bleach and water solution. 1 capful of bleach to 1 gal. water should work.

Put it back together and run it with a mild bleach solution(1 tsp per quart). It should be watertight when it's together.

Next time run the product out then fill with clean water. Empty and refill with mild bleach or water with 1/4 cup of vinegar per quart. Empty and rinse, THEN take it apart and wash the loose bits.

You should also be able to put a container filled with solution under the nozzle.

Check online to see if you can find the manual. You should at least be able to find an 800 number to get the proper instructions.

Denture cleaner will also work and will not make the plastic parts brittle like bleach would.
