I have a 1.75oz bottle of Victoria paprika, it doesn't say what type of paprika it is... does anyone know?!

Question: their website doesn't tell me and i'm waiting for an email reply to my question.
Thanks!

Hopefully they will respond back. The best way to know the type that you are using is, you should pick up something that says either Spanish or Hungarian on the label...that way you will know what it's going to taste like and can plan your recipes accordingly. Hungary, Spain and the US are where Paprika generally comes from and there are so many different varieties to choose from. Ranging from sweet to hot to smoked.
If Victoria is a US based company and they're not importers you can assume that it's probably a type from the US.

If it is vokda, then in it is pepper vodka - paprika is the Hungarian word for "pepper". It is probably similar in composition to the Absolute Peppar vodka:

Absolut Peppar is a common vodka containing a complex taste of green jalapeno peppers and fiery capsicum spices like paprika and chili.

http://www.victoriapacking.com/spices.ht... Check out this website . . . If you see a pic of the bottle that you have, Im pretty sure that its just regular Hungarian paprika, which has a mild smokey flavor which can be used for pretty much any recipe that you want to

i don't mean to state the obvious, but why don't you taste it? then you will know what flavour it is.
