My hubby is letting me use his id to ask a question, does anyone have any recipes that use Oreos?!

Question: I have Oreo pie and Dirt cake, but I am looking for something a bit different. My kids are a bit tired of those, but they love Oreos. :) I have Googled it, but it keeps giving me recipes to make Oreos. Anyone have any good ones?

chocolate covered oreo suckers.

get some double stuft oreos
sucker sticks (walmart craft candy making section)
chocolate chips

nuke the cookies for 10 seconds at 1/2 power ( you want the icing soft enough to shove the stick through but not too soft where the cookie falls apart, it takes a bit of practice)
shove the sucker stick up through the icing, hold over bowl of melted chips and spoon melted chocolate over them until covered, lay on wax paper covered baking sheet, add some sprinkles or those sugar cake decorations, freeze 10 min or until chocolate is solid.
If you want to make them pretty get some suckers or candy bags and cover the "sucker" end and tie with ribbon.

I used to make these for christmas, people offered me money for them!

You can crush them and use the crumbs to make the crust for cheesecakes .... or MUD PIE .... Pat into a 9" pie pan to cover really well. Then a layer of Hershey's syrup; a layer of softened ice cream; another layer of syrup; some Cool Whip. and freeze......

Make Truffles!

1 package oreos
1 8oz pack of cream cheese (softened)
1 12-16 oz bag semi sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp shortening (optional)

Use a food processor or a gallon zip loc bag and rolling pin to crush the cookies. Mix the cookies with the cream cheese. Roll into 1 inch balls and place in the fridge/freezer while you melt the chocolate. In microwave safe bowl combine the chips and the shortening and microwave on med/high just until they're melted (30 second increments). Using two forks, roll the balls in the chocolate and place on wax paper lined cookie sheets to harden (I cheat and put them in my chest freezer for 10 minutes). Let them sit in the fridge over night (once the chocolate has hardened) and the moisture from the cream cheese will soften the cookies.

Absolute divinity. For extra pizzaz, melt some white chocolate and after the dipped balls have hardened, drizzle the white chocolate back and forth. Also delicious with mint oreos!

Make a choolate tunnel cake:

Use a "angel food cake pan" sorry I can't think of the real name right now, and bake a chocalte cake in it.
Let it cool well, I would even put it in the fridge. Slice the bpttom off all the waya round approx 1/2-1 in down. Scoop a "tunnel" out of the cake. Fill it with a mixture of crushed oreo's and whipped cream (or cool whip). Slide the "top" back on. Flip over onto a serving plate and top with chocolate ganache.

A friend of mine just showed me how to make an oreo pie. You can buy oreo pie crust from the store or crush some yourself. Then you have 1 package/box of whatever flavor instant pudding that you want (vanilla perhaps) and after you make that you put half of it into the oreo pie crust. Then you put in half a thingy of whipped cream, then you put in the rest of the instant pudding, then you cover the top with the rest of the whipped cream. After that you put it in the fridge over night.
It tastes REALLY delicious, though unfortunately I've only eaten it once :( haha :P

I do ice cream cake with them. Start with a layer of ice cream then alternate 1/2" layers of vanilla ice cream. Top with some chocolate syrup in lines and draw a toothpick through it back and forth to make the top look like this:

You mix a little melted butter in the crushed Oreos.

freeze after each layer of ice cream until stiff.

Separate the Oreo, spoon a little cheesecake filling on each one and top with 1/2 a strawberry. Cute little desserts!
