No I would eat any discoloured potatoes

I don't think they should!

no there spoiled

I do not believe it does anything to your brain. However they can make you sick to the stomach and you should not eat them, and cutting off the green doesn't help it has already spread to the whole potato.

Green potatoes contain solanine, a toxic alkaloid. A couple of mildly green potatoes don't contain enough to do any harm but they will taste bitter. If you eat a lot of solanine, you will experience abdominal pain and vomiting. So no, there is no risk to the brain because you will throw up long before then.

Solanine is distantly related to nicotine, an even more poisonous alkaloid.

nope i think its bad for not only for the brains for it seems that they have spoilt

The reason grocery stores cover them at night is so that they don't turn green from exposure to light. Eating the green part can make you sick, but if you cut it away before cooking/baking them then they're fine. The only problem with that is you're removing the most nutritious part which is right under the jacket.

Moral of the story: Keep them covered so that they don't turn green.

The Muse

When they turn green it's mold!

No! Greened potatoes contain toxins which are linked to food poisoning or worse. They should definitely be avoided, especially by pregnant or lactating women.
Hope this helps!
:)

they can poison you and in extreme cases cause death ,I kid you not

Potatoes are a member of the deadly nightshade family. Therefore do not eat any of the eyes (the rootlets) as these contain strychnine. Tomatoes, which are in the same family, also contain a toxin, a mutagenic (it mutates genes), in green tomatoes. I suspect green potatoes are the same.

i don care whether it is bad for the brain or not! juz dont eat it!!
