...Pancake batter...
INGREDIENTS
1 cup sifted self-rising flour
1 cup milk or buttermilk
1 egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS
Beat eggs, oil, and milk together, and add to flour. Stir until combined.
Heat a greased griddle until drops of water sprinkled on it evaporate noisily. Pour 1/8 to 1/4 cup batter onto the griddle. Turn over with a metal spatula when bubbles begin to form on top. Cook second side to a golden brown color.

Different countries have different idea of how they like their pancakes. But here is my recipe - UK.

1 cup flour
1 egg
1 cup of milk
1 pinch of salt

Mix it all together. Put a tiny bit of oil in the pan, heat it, put as much batter as you like (I use a ladle and I like thin pancakes) and turn it over when the top appears dry.

do you have any bisquick???

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

About 1 cup plain flour
1egg
milk
Sieve flour, make well in centre, add egg and milk and mix.
Heat a little oil on pan with a knob of butter (oil prevents butter from burning)
Ladle mixture on to hot pan, when bubbles form turn pancake.
When cooked place on warm plate squeeze lemon juice on top and serve with your favourite filling.
