Starbucks frappuccino?!
Answers: How can I make a starbucks frappuccino at home?? Specifically the lite double chocolate chip? I know starbucks has a specific base or something but how can I make a similar one?
Nescafe instant coffee is great for making at home frozen coffee drinks. But you have to buy the Greek or ethnic version of nescafe at a imported foods store. Trust me this stuff is so strong it really wakes you up and has a strong flavor. It usually comes in a glass jar but looks something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/GREEK-ICED-COFFEE-IN... I used to drink frappe's at a Greek restaurant i worked at and they were sooooo good. You can add whatever you want to it like syrups, chocolate chips or whatever you want. I am going to add a few links so you can get the idea. This stuff is really frothy when blended but once you try a few times you will come up with your own perfect "Frapp". PS I think you can buy flavors syrups at Starbucks... if not just do a search on coffee syrups. Good luck! I'm going to go make one now cause my mouth is watering :)
look at the ingrediants on the frappuccino bottle?
I specifacally put chocolate chip ice cream in a blender with crushed ice and a little milk. Then just blend until its like a smoothie. Squirt whipped cream on top (after you put the mixture in a glass) and enjoy. Put some chocolate syrup on top if you want.
Folger's has it in powder form, you can buy it at your grocery store. Heat 6 oz and put in a couple of spoons, stir and enjoy. We like the Vanilla flavor. Be sure to read the directions.
hhhmmm........the only way u could do that is with the bottled ones that you buy. just look at the ingredients.
I agree with seb.....
I would use some type of ice cream.... preferrably Starbucks brand. They have a flavor called Java Chip.... it's coffee flavored with large chunks of dark chocolate mixed in. That would work well.
Add that to your blender with some crushed ice (if you don't have crushed just put it in a ziplock bag and pound it with a heavy utensil prior to adding to the blender (it'll shorten the time needed to get to the consistency you want.... the shorter the time blending, the less melty your ice cream will get).
If too thick add a bit of milk or light cream and top with whipped cream.
This isn't exactly a frappuccino, but if you take some chocolate chip ice cream, crumble some cookie chunks in it,and put it in the blender, it will taste just like one! (It will also be a lot healthier!!!)
4 tablespoon chocolate syrup
4 tablespoon chocolate chips
4 cups double-strength freshly brewed dark roast coffee
Chopped or crushed ice
Whipped cream (optional)
Chocolate syrup (for drizzle, optional)
Fill blender half full with chopped or crushed ice. Add all ingredients (except whipped cream) and blend until thick and still icy. Pour into 4 tall glasses, top with whipping cream and drizzle chocolate over the whipped cream.
