How can you tell if hard boiled eggs are done cooking?!
Answers: im boiling eggs..how long do they take and when can i tell if they are cooked without cracking them open!
This site tells you how to cook them.... DO NOT Boil for 14 minutes, let them sit in water that has come to a boil, but the heat turned off.

Also, a hard boiled egg will spin freely on the counter top, while a raw egg will wobble and not spin.
It's all in the timing. Boil gently for about 14 minutes, then place them in a bowl of very cold water. Peel and enjoy. You cannot really tell if they're done by looking at them or touching them. Trust the timing.
it only takes 15 mins for eggs to boil completely but you can do it for 20 to be on the safe side. i also heard that a boiled egg will spin on a hard surface a raw egg will not
There's no way to know till you crack them open...but here's the way I do it:
Make sure they are totally submerged under the water, turn the heat on high, pour lots of salt over them before they boil (this helps to get the shells off easily..don't know why, but it works!), boil for 2 minutes, turn the heat off, let them sit for 10 minutes in the hot water, put them in a colander, run cold water over them till cool enough to handle, crack and peel under the running cold water. You will come out wiht perfectly hard boiled eggs everytime!
before you start to boil your eggs, put a little bit of uncooked rice. the eggs will be done when the rice is cooked....don't forget to put some salt into it. so it will be easier to remove the shells.. that's how I've done it...
sorry for my poor English since it is not my first language
