The goal is to make it look something like the one in this picture. http://www.inyuma.com/onset?db=inyumaliv...
What you do is layer the ingredients in your glass, starting with the oatmeal/granola/or whatever you use. Generally, I would use oatmeal-fruit-yogurt-oatmeal-fruit, but the order isn't all that important. You can also add spices like mint or play around with whatever you've got in your cupboard. My sister is partial to cinnamon.
just mix whatever fruit u like with some plain yogurt. i would put granola with it instead of oatmeal, but thats just me.
Yes... Ugh, I'd hate to be the one who eats it with cooked oatmeal...
Granola is what is usually in parfaits but I would think oatmeal would be okay.
A yogurt parfait is simply vanilla yogurt with which ever fruits you choose, its better with berries, and you can put granola on it. If you use oatmeal it will go soggy. You can buy a small box of granola at any grocery store or most cereal 9healthy ones0 have granola
Mix the oatmeal with a little melted butter and brown sugar. Add some slivered almonds if you have them. Spread the mixture on a non-stick baking sheet and bake for a few minutes, until it's no longer soggy. Let cool. Layer with fruit and yogurt.
a 'parfait' is just layered...whatever. it's usually done like that so it looks nice in a clear dish. just layer some fruit and yogurt, that's all.
you can make your own granola with the oatmeal. all it takes is a little brown sugar, spice if you want (like cinnamon or nutmeg), and a bit of honey. mix it up so that the oats are lightly coated, and then put it in a pan. put it in the oven at 300 for about half an hour, stirring/turning it frequently. when it's done it'll be nicely toasted. make sure you don't use instant oatmeal though.
