Why do sausages always curve and end up banana shaped following cooking ?!

Question: Because the side in contact with the pan shrinks with the heat, the way to avoid it is keeping them rolling all the time so the skin is heated evenly and that way they will also shrink evenly without curving.

Cut a little slit down the side (or around it) before you cook or bbq sausages or hot dogs..... My grandfather taught me that:)

the casing shrinks when cooked

Prick the skin before cooking them then that shouldnt happen!

Prick them with a fork before cooking

because they are sexy
