Drizzle with dressing.
Top with remaining bread half.

I would recommend a Avocado Chicken Sandwich on Sourdough bread.

Search it on google or Yahoo for some recipes!

Thin-sliced tomatoes are the key. Lots of them, but thin-sliced.

grilled chicken and cheese....its easy and yummy...
just season the chicken with salt and pepper and a little vinegar or lemon juice.....grill it. butter two pieces of bread and put a slice of cheese on each and grill them too....
add mayo and lettuce and insert the chicken breasts between the cheese-bread slices....and you're done!

the other one is peanut-butter chicken sandwich....
just boil chicken with salt and lemon juice..shred it. butter two slices of bread with peanut butter, mix the shredded chicken with a tablespoon of honey and pepper to taste...and sandwich the mixture between the breads.....

thick sourdough bread
thickly sliced fresh tomatoes
extra sharp cheddar cheese
avocado
horseradish sauce

Put a thin layer of the cheese, as well as the tomatoes and avocado on the bread. Put some butter on a pan and cook until the bread is slightly crispy and the cheese is melted. Eat with horseradish.

wheat bread, lettuce, tomato, onion, tuna, mayo, dash of pepper. put potato chips at the side at of the s'wich

the best sandwiches are made from european kind of rustic bread - having that hard crust and chewy insides - like a french baguette but more oval in shape.

in food, you need to forget anything that is lite or low calorie - the more fat in it, the yummy it gets.

you need to split in the bread, but not all the way - not splitting it into 2 pieces. spread butter on each side, this will protect the bread from the juices of the veggies from making the bread soggy.

then put in leaves of salad veggies, herbs, tomato slices, some kind of meat slices (like roasted turkey, prosciutto, some kind of cured meat like ham), and a kind of cheese.

next, do not forget to season this with salt and pepper!

last, you need to pack everything tight in aluminum foil - the tighter, the better. air tends to make the sandwich go bad. then store the sandwich in the fridge. a cold sandwich tastes better than a freshly made sandwich. because it has time to make the different tastes go together while it's resting in the fridge. like when you are cooking steak - you let it rest before serving, or making pancakes, you let the batter rest before using it.

An old favorite ...

Wheat Bread (needs to be fairly dense consistency - no air holes ... whole grain artisan is best) - two pieces
Avocado, 1/2 of a very ripe one
Red onion slice - very thin, separate rings
Provolone cheese - two thin slices
Leaf lettuce - one leaf cleaned and dried
Tomatoe - two thin slices
Alfalfa Sprouts, 1/4 cup
Dijon mustard
Mayonnaise
Lemon juice
Garlic powder
Tabasco
Salt and pepper

Take the Avocado, remove the meat and mash it with a fork until it is somewhat smooth - you want some small chunks. Add some lemon juice, garlic powder, Tabasco, salt, and pepper - this is all to taste (basically Guacamole minus the Mexican flavoring).

Spread the Dijon mustard on both pieces of bread (use the amount you would usually use on a sandwich); then spread a small amount of mayonnaise on one piece. Put part of the avocado mixture on the piece of bread with the mayonnaise. If you want, grind some black pepper on this. Then, layer with the larger onion rings (save the smaller ones for a salad or cooking), cheese, tomatoe, lettuce, and end with the sprouts.

This is a great tasting sandwich with lots of textures and flavors ... and, it is very nutritious!! Yes, fairly high in fat but check out nutrient facts on Avocados!

Souperburger Sandwiches

My favorite is a Reuben Sandwich

2 slices rye bread, each buttered on one side
1 package Buddig corned beef
sliced swiss cheese
sauerkraut, drained
1000 island dressing.

Assemble with buttered sides of bread out. Grill in electric frypan or on griddle..

I usually make my "Special". Honey, brown sugar, or maple ham; hot or sweet capacola; buffalo turkey breast; and genoa salami. I use an extra sharp new york or vermont cheddar. I put mayo on both slices of bread and use a honey mustard on the turkey. I use a dark russian, german, or any dark 9-12 grain bread. I top it off with a cold kosher half sour garlic pickle. Bon Appetite!!

Turkey/ham/swiss on toast with mayo and Russian dressing!!!! Yummo!
