Is a toaster a good substitute for an oven?!

Question: I was planning on making this "empanada"! (please search the food if you dont know....)

I wanted to bake only three, one for me and two for my friends. But I think its too costly to use a oven for only three empanadas.

So do you think a toaster will make a good enough substitute???

If you're talking about a toaster where you put slices of bread vertically to toast, the answer is: NO!!!! It'll be a recipe for disaster, and a fire risk to boot. Unless you use sandwich toasting bags.

Now, if we're talking about a toaster oven with the little tray, then it's ok, but watch it like a hawk.

If they open up, you'll have one messy toaster on your hands and possibly ruin it.

no no no no no no no

Toaster: no. Toaster Oven: yes.

no you need a oven not a toaster it too small

Not a great idea. A better compromise is a toaster oven..

Toasters don't have the capacity to "cook" food. If you mean a toaster oven, then yes, you can cook in it.
