How do you steam meat?!
Answers: Do you put it into one of those microwave steam bags? If not, do you think that would work? Thanks!
The best results come from the use of a slow cooker ["crock pot"] or a pressure cooker.
You could also use an oven on low temp - about 250 degrees F. for about 30 to 45 minutes per pound.
Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

Yes, that is my real last name!
WHY would you ever steam meat???? Meat cooked in the microwave NEVER tastes good... Fry, boil, roast, grill....
What is it, exactly, you want to make using this method?
you don't steam meat! GROSS and it probably won't be completely cooked. broil it, grill it, fry it, bake, SOMETHING. what kind of meat are you cooking? there's a healthy way to cooking every meat (except pork) but look up some good recipe's for them online!
I have put it into a pressure cooker which can cook a regular round steak or stew meat in 15 minutes due to the build up of pressure w/in the pot. A 4-5 lb roast can be done in an impressive 50 minutes. All I do is season the meat, fill water to fill lines, lock and secure. wait for pressure build up and time from that point on. I then take the meat out and use the beef broth inside to make a gravy for things like beef tips or for the roast. When Ribs are done in there then drained and grilled they are falling off of the bone in less than 1/2 hour. A terrific time saver.
quick cooking makes most meats tough.
microwave cooking works, but cooks it too fast for it to tenderize.
I put it in crockpot or roasting pan, add a family size tea bag, and enough water to either cover it if in crock or about half way up if in roaster. turn it half way through the cooking. add all your seasonings now.
Cook for 3 to 4 hours either way. Tea is a natural tenderizer, doesn't flavor the meat or gravy, but adds a great color to the gravy.
